Hello Kassandra’s Dance Academy Family, 


We are just a few weeks away from our spring program “Cinderella” . We will have two performances: 

Friday, June 10 the at 7pm

 Saturday,  June 11th at 5pm  

Tickets are on sale for $25.00 for 11 and older and $15.00 for children under 10. Thursday’s Dress rehearsal June 9th starts at 5pm. Full costume and makeup required. Attendance will be mandatory. Recital t-shirts can be order online by May 23rd. 

 I am so excited for our spring program! Recital tickets will be available to order online at our website at www.kassandrasdanceacademy.com and are available now. ALL TICKETS ARE GENERAL SETTING. 

 At the recital we will need volunteers for backstage help with students, stage help, ticket sales, and seating. I will have a signup sheet on our website. Volunteer to help before May 23rd to receive a free recital shirt. We offer two recitals to allow for parents to help backstage and see your child perform;  the children love the extra day on stage. 

 Rose leaf flowers will be onsite selling flowers for our students and pre-orders can be made by ordering on our studio website under shop.  Recital video orders need to be placed on our website by June 7th.   

 Recital Pictures will be the week of May 23th-May 26th at in class practice, during class we will have class observation for one parent to attend, to see the progress of your student and see what we have been working on at the same time as in studio pictures. A picture order form is attached as well, please bring a completed check or cash for payment. Sara J Photography will be our photographer, she will also be at dress rehearsal taking photos as well. At recital pictures full costume, tights, makeup, shoes, and hair (also hair piece if the costume came with one)!  Sarah J Harvey graduated from Bowling Green State University with BFA in Painting & Photography.  She started photographing weddings 17 years ago and still loves it! Since starting with weddings, her business has grown to family, senior, newborn and birth photography sessions. She keeps her sessions simple, no distracting backgrounds or setups – just plain old, simple emotion. Sarah likes to have fun and wants you to have fun during her sessions. She also does baseball, soccer and volleyball team photos and now,

thanks to her friendship with Kassandra! She is excited to start this journey with Kassandra’s Dance Academy. 

From this point forward attendance will be extremely important. Please make attendance a priority.


The list below is also our recital guidelines for each class hair, stage makeup required, and shoes. Tights have been ordered and will be in the costume bag! Please be sure to care for the costumes, by hanging them up, some may need to be steamed, ballet costumes need to be steamed and fluffed. Class requirements for recital 


  • Ballet  - pink tights, and hair in a bun

  • Jazz – tan jazz shoes, tan tights, and hair in a ponytail 

  •  Ballet/Tap Combo-black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes, tan tights, and hair in a bun

  • Pre-Ballet- pink ballet shoes, pink tights, and hair in a bun

  • Cheer  – tan jazz shoes, tan tights, and hair in a ponytail 

  • Hip-Hop - tan jazz shoes and hair in a ponytail

  • Tumble– tan tights, ponytail for photos, braid recital and bare feet 

  • Lyrical/Ballet - lyrical shoes, tan tights, and hair in a bun

  • Acro- tan tights and hair in a bun

  • Gymnastics- tan tights and hair in a ponytail 


At the recital no jewelry can be worn on stage, neutral nail polish, proper shoes, hair, and tights for class. If your child has a hair piece, place it on the right side and secure it well.  Non messy snacks and only water allowed backstage. 

Dress Rehearsal: when students arrive, they will need to  sit in the auditorium in the designated location with your child's class  found on the end of the aisle. Students in the first half of the recital please arrive at 4:30 pm, second half please arrive at 6:00 pm. Recital order will be posted next week. For Recital students in the first half please arrive at least 45 minutes before the recital and students in the second half at least 30 minutes before. Please go to the backstage room when arriving.  


At the recital each family will receive a one backstage pass for the parent helping each child. This will be a wristband and must be presented to the backstage attendant before entering backstage. This will eliminate extra individuals backstage and keep the area safe for our students. Safety of our students is our top priority.  

All payments must be made in full for costumes to be handed out. Be sure all payments are up to date please. No costumes will be given out until full payments have been made for classes or costumes. The class final payments will be for May classes.  

Thursday classes will have make-up classes due to missed classes due to dress rehearsal on Thursday June 9th.  Miss Kassandra classes will be made up on June 3rd. Please keep these dates available, attendance mandatory for those students. An email and text will be sent with more information. 

God has blessed me with wonderful students and families at my studio, for which I am very grateful. We are all looking forward to the recital!
